Dr. Fernando Bueno Neves

Consultant radiologist

Fernando Bueno Neves works in diagnostic imaging, focusing on ultrasound and delivering reports and assessments with technical precision and consistency. Brazilian and German, he graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, holds a Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Dundee, and is a specialist in Radiology from the Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein, one of the largest university hospitals in Germany.

His practice combines diagnostic rigor with a compassionate approach. For him, each scan is an opportunity to reduce anxiety: clearly explaining what is being seen, aligning expectations, and, when necessary, indicating a clear next step.

Fernando has a diverse academic background. He has conducted research in Forensic Medicine in Scotland, in collaboration with Police Scotland, received the award for best presentation from the German Society of Neuroradiology for work in interventional radiology applied to cerebral aneurysms, and has been recognized with research awards in Brazil.

Outside the clinic, Fernando is a lover of literature and writing. He worked as a volunteer writing teacher for high school students in socially vulnerable situations and participated in the theater society at the University of Dundee.

Cross-sectional imaging

Diagnostic Neuroradiology

Why does this matters?

Most ultrasound clinics rely solely on sonographers, with radiologists reviewing images remotely after the scan. At Affetto, our radiologist is present—either performing the scan or immediately available for consultation. This means real-time clinical assessment, immediate answers, and a higher level of diagnostic confidence.
